There are many reasons for damage to your car's paint work, such as minor accidents, scratches or general wear and tear. Restoring your car's paintwork not only enhances the look of your car, but also protects the body from rust and corrosion. The use of paint spray gun and pneumatic sander is ideal for both minor repairs and extensive restoration.

Step 1: Preparation
It is vital to have your tools and work area ready before you begin repairs. Rongpeng R805 touch up spray gun is an excellent choice. A high-quality HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) mini gun with 1.0 mm nozzle designed for automotive refinishing and small paint jobs. When it comes to pneumatic sanders, the Rongpeng RP7335S air sander is a solid choice. It's a 5-inch pneumatic random orbit sander that provides an efficient, smooth sanding finish that's perfect for automotive paint restoration.Step 2: Surface Cleaning and Inspection

Step 2: Surface Cleaning and Inspection
The first step in the repair process is to thoroughly clean the damaged area. Use car wash soap and water to remove any dirt, dust or grease. Once clean, inspect the damaged area to determine the extent of the damage. Here we are assuming minor scratches within 5cm of the car door paint damage.
Step 3: Sanding and Intermediate Coating
Use Rongpeng RP7335S pneumatic sander, first of all, use P280 dry sanding paper to sand the range that needs to be sprayed with the medium coating primer, and then clean it with degreaser after completion. Then spray the primer, try to control the primer in a small range, and pay attention to the edge of the position of the layer should be gradual, do not become step-like. When dry, sand with P500 dry sanding paper, then switch to P2000 extra fine wet sanding paper. Make sure to sand slightly beyond the damaged area to create a smooth transition between the old and new paint.
Step 4: Masking and Dusting
Before painting, use masking tape and masking paper to cover windows, tires and other areas that should remain unpainted. Clean the door panels to be repaired with degreaser and dust with a tack cloth.

Step 5: Apply Primer
Use a Rongpeng R805 paint spray gun with an average air consumption of 4.5 cfm, which allows for easy use of a standard air compressor. Adjust the spray width, paint output and air pressure to 1.5-2.0 bar of air pressure to grasp the spray range of one layer than a layer of slightly wider as a transition, from the outside to the inside of the spray, spray primer until the interface position is no longer obvious, after drying, each layer of sticky dust cloth to gently remove the excess silver powder.

Step 6: Spraying varnish and polishing
Spray the first coat of varnish, completely covering the base color. After drying, spray the second coat of varnish, completely covering the first coat. After drying, add thinner and spray 3 times in thin layers on the varnished joints. After complete drying, the joints can be polished with air sander in combination with polishing wax.
